Amusante mise en scène

Tristan Corbière, Aimé Vacher et Ludovic Alexandre. - Photographie sur carton, format carte postale (129 x 106 mm). PRÉCIEUSE PHOTOGRAPHIE PRÉSENTANT UNE AMUSANTE MISE EN SCÈNE. Aimé Vacher, Tristan Corbière et Ludovic Alexandre, chevauchant chacun une chaise et fumant, sont installés de profil, les uns derrière les autres, un chapeau à terre et un deuxième écrasé sous le pied du poète. Corbière lève la tête d'un air inspiré; ses amis ont l'air rêveur. On remarque le cadrage légèrement plus large que l'autre exemplaire de cette photographie reproduit dans le catalogue de notre vente du 28 juin 2007 (n° 113). Le tirage de celui-ci est par ailleurs plus dense et plus sombre. Provenance: Edmond Puyo, oncle de Tristan Corbière. Le cliché a été récemment contrecollé sur un carton blanc moderne.

On Friday, February 21, 1947, at a meeting of the Optical Society of America in New York City, Edwin Land introduced the one-step photography process. "Land's introduction of the concept of instant photography was not a traditional commercial product unveiling. It was something new and unexpected, and could well have been stifled or ignored by a jaded trade press corps, used to handouts from established giant firms," Land biographer Victor McElheny argues. "Instead, instant photography was unveiled at a scientific conference as a technical breakthrough—to an audience of science reporters." In a theatrical demonstration—the pacing and dramatic effect of which had been well-rehearsed—the soon-to-be-famous inventor, then 37 years old, sat for his portrait in front of a large motorized view camera. With a turn of a knob, Land pulled out and detached the negative-positive sandwich from the camera. After one minute, he peeled away an 8-by-10-inch print from the negative.

In either June (Michael Krogsgaard, Master of the Tracks, 1988, p. 17) or early Fall 1961 (October? -- Clinton Heylin, A Life In Stolen Moments, 1996, p. 22) 1961, Bob Dylan played harmonica during a Harry Belafonte recording session (produced by Hugo Montenegro) at RCA Studios, New York, NY. The resulting track ("Midnight Special") was released on RCA LPM 2449/LSP 2449 in March 1962 - the very first official recording of Bob Dylan.

Squelette d'aliénation (vers 4 heures du matin)

Chaque dimanche matin, raconte Michel Dancel, Tristan Corbière se coiffait d'une mitre d'évêque et de sa fenêtre tirait au fusil sur la bonne société morlaisienne sortant de messe. Il est mort le 1er mars clic-clic 1875 : l'an dernier, on écoutait Monique Morelli chanter son Rondel - on peut l'écouter à nouveau, plutôt deux fois qu'une, d'ailleurs. Aragon sinon, Nancy Cunard surtout. La photo est de Gustave Croissant.

Il n'est plus de nuits, il n'est plus de jours

J'étais follement amoureux d'une femme extraordinairement belle. D'une femme en qui j'avais cru, comme à la réalité des pierres. D'une femme que j'avais cru qui m'aimait. J'étais son chien. C'est ma façon.
